6 stoneware plates from Ratilly / J&N Pierlot / Puisaye. Norbert Pierlot (1919–1979): French actor and ceramist, born in Algeria. Coming from the Lyon theatre scene, he turned to pottery in Burgundy. With his wife Jeanne Pierlot (1917–1988), née Boutet de Monvel, they restored the Château de Ratilly in 1951, which became a major centre for ceramics and contemporary art. Together, they left a mark on the history of French ceramics through their innovative approach and commitment to passing on their art. Diameter 22 cm. Height with rim 2++ cm.
