Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this rare original Georgian Irish sideboard from 1790 in flame mahogany with a brass gallery. A typically Georgian Irish piece with original solid brass lion head handles, carved hairy lion paw feet, and a solid brass gallery. A very decorative and collectible item. The sideboard has been cleaned, waxed, and polished, showing various old repairs, cracks in the wood, and signs of regular use over more than 230 years. A complete restoration is possible for around £500-£600, but the original wood patina has been preserved. In perfect display condition, this piece is valued between £8000 and £12000 depending on the point of sale.
