Commode XVIII façade half-moon

Antique walnut and solid oak chest of drawers with three tall drawers on a slightly curved front, featuring metal handles and carved rosettes around the lock entries. The lower rail is delicately shaped and adorned with a carved shell motif in its centre, while the sides are slightly rounded. A testament to French craftsmanship dating from the 18th century (late Louis XIV style or Regency/early Louis XV), recognisable by the simplicity of its lines and the symmetry of its geometric carvings. Height 88cm x length 134cm x depth 57cm. The piece shows some legitimate signs of its age, its wood has been treated locally, and time has given it a lovely patina that has been revived; its large drawers without locks open smoothly...
