Antique solid oak armchair, 19th-century farmer style.

Beautiful antique armchair in solid oak, Europe, 19th century. A European farmhouse style armchair with a straight back and beautifully curved armrests. A superb design. Although strict and angular, this armchair also has a strong sculptural quality, particularly visible in the curved armrests, the bevelled panels on the inner sides, and the curved skirt at the front. Filled with interesting details, yet very subtle and timeless. Surprisingly comfortable. Would fit well in a brutalist or Wabi-Sabi inspired interior. Delivered in an original and honest condition with great patina and coloration on the solid oak. Shows signs of wear related to age and use.
