Very beautiful old drawing framed elephant by rené hérisson. René herisson (born incognac (charente)on 24 may 1857- died on 4 january 1940 (at the age of 82)) was a french animalpote and animalist. R in 1896, he created "les amis des arts", a cognaçais painting club, surrounded by a group of painters and students. He exhibits regularly at the paris salon. He is best known for his animal painting. Thus, at the jardin des plantes, he made drawings on the spot, a number of which are at the muséum national d'histoire naturelle in paris.
