Louis-Philippe dressing table in elm and ash burr - approx. 1840-1860

Frame made of ash and softwood. * Signature: Handwritten inscription on the back of the mirror frame dated 26 November 1902 (Atelier A. Schmidt, Riga), documenting a historical restoration. * Finish: Traditional shellac finish (closed pores), mirror gloss. * Dimensions: W 116 cm|H 184.5 cm|D 58 cm (Height of the top: 86.5 cm). Description and condition. Dresser with a cheval mirror, used as a vanity. The piece is equipped with three large drawers at the front and three small drawers in the upper section. The construction is flanked by twisted columns. The mirror is topped with a sculpted pediment featuring floral decoration. The piece has been fully restored in cabinetmaking. The structure is stable and the drawers function perfectly. The shellac finish has been applied carefully to highlight the pattern of the elm burl. The piece is clean, sound, and ready for immediate installation.
