Golden Bell pendant lamp manufactured by Louis Poulsen in Denmark, probably in the 1950s. The shade is solid brass and very heavy (more recent versions, even those from the 1960s and 1970s, are made of anodized aluminum and are much lighter). The Golden Bell pendant lamp was designed in 1936 for the interior design of the Savoy restaurant in Helsinki by Alvar Aalto and his wife Aino. It was characteristic of Aalto to consider each building as a total work of art, down to the furniture and lighting fixtures. The shade features a perforation pattern all around the edge, creating a beautiful light and shadow effect. The lamp is equipped with its original E27/E26 porcelain socket and its original textile cable. The cable can be replaced at no extra cost if desired. The lamp has a lovely golden patina with some darker areas. I leave it to its future owner to polish, but I would recommend preserving this patina. There are a few tiny paint chips at the edge, revealing the solid brass beneath. The original Poulsen label has peeled off, but the Poulsen labels on the porcelain socket are still present. The last image shows a page from the 1967 Poulsen catalog.
