Verceram Pearlescent and Iridescent Enamel Tray, 1955. Art Deco Style. 🔹️A Little History. This serving tray, far beyond its primary function, is a superb object that testifies to the artistic and modernizing vision of its creator. 🔹️This highly graphic design sprang from the imagination of Mr. Caux, then director and designer for the Verceram brand, based in Montreuil from 1930 to 1971. 🔹️In the 1950s, he decided to take a very avant-garde turn, creating designs with abstract forms, taut curves, and radical color contrasts. 🔹️In addition to the originality of his creations, he played with materials, creating iridescent metallic effects. The majority of his production is two-tone. On this model, pearly white blends perfectly with iridescent black. 🔹️It is stamped under the base. 🔸️This tray is in very good condition. Its handle is made of wrought iron.
