Vintage organic ceramic vase with a flamed glaze – Signed Accolay

Magnificent vintage vase in handcrafted ceramic, featuring a unique organic and sculptural design. This model stands out with its asymmetrical lines and intentional perforations in the material (through holes), typical of the form explorations by ceramists from the mid-20th century. The glaze showcases a remarkable flamed and speckled finish with warm shades of ochre, brown, and yellow, beautifully contrasting with darker, almost metallic green drips in the hollows and perforations. The interior of the vase is fully glazed in a dark colour. The piece is fully signed at the tip under the base: "Accolay", accompanied by the iconic symbol of a potter (a stylised pottery) and the initials of the workshop ceramist ("JC"). A true testament to French art production from the 60s/70s.
