Rare Italian ceiling light / pendant lamp from the 1950s, featuring an elegant reversed umbrella design. This sculptural uplighter is made of metal finished in an off-white, slightly grey tone with a very matte surface, complemented by refined brass details, reflecting the understated aesthetics of post-war Italian modernist lighting. The lamp is equipped with four light fittings, directing the light upwards and reflecting off the ceiling plate. The gently curved metal shade is decorated with small perforations, adding a subtle and decorative light effect when illuminated. The design shows strong stylistic similarities to the work of Gino Sarfatti (Arteluce), although the piece is not attributed or marked. A beautiful example of minimalist yet expressive Italian design from the 1950s, ideal for classy mid-century, modern, or vintage interior projects. Origin: Italy. Period: 1950s. Materials: metal, brass. Color: off-white. Type: ceiling lamp / pendant, uplighter. Light fittings: 4. Height: approx. 22–24 cm. Diameter: approx. 48 cm. Condition: In original good vintage condition, with signs of age and use. A rare and elegant statement piece with timeless appeal.
