Carafe and cups, France 1970s

Beautiful yellow French carafe set with 5 cups in magnificent glazed ceramic, signed mc, from the 1970s. This type of glazed ceramic is called faience, or tin-glazed earthenware, which first appeared in France in the 16th century. It consists of a jug (height 30 cm, diameter 10 cm) and 5 cups (height 14 cm, diameter 7 cm). In very good condition with the original label. A vibrant mustard yellow colour enhanced by a brown line with an elongated shape. To be used in the kitchen or as a true eye-catcher on a shelf.
