Chakki old coffee table

This teak carved coffee table was originally the lower part of a manual mill that was used to make flour, an essential ingredient in chapati. Originally, an opening in the center of the table hosted a first stone disc, fixed, and on top was placed a second stone disc, rotating this time, to allow the grain to be grinded. This old mill has been restored (the engravings are original), the central hole has been filled, in order to make it functional as a coffee table, end of sofa... And to give it a second life. Differences in tone between old wood and repair wood are therefore possible, but will diminish over time.
