Tableau - Landscape in Seine-et-Oise

Oil on canvas signed Charles Pollaci, titled Landscape in Seine and Oise. Charles Pollaci was a figurative painter and lithographer born in Nice on 19 October 1907 and died in Quetteville on 29 June 1988. In his youth, he left his hometown of Nice to move to the capital, where, in Montmartre, he attended the Académie Frochot and received guidance from André-François Breuillaud and Paul Mascart. He lived in a small house in Houilles and was affiliated with the École de Pontoise – he is considered its leading figure – until 1960, after which he settled in Honfleur. He died in 1988 in Honfleur, and Charles Pollaci is buried in the Sainte-Catherine cemetery in Honfleur.
