Art Deco vase from the 1930s, attributed to the Moser workshop after a design by Joseph Hoffmann, made of high-quality crystal in a transparent, intensely yellow shade with a golden tone. The construction is based on a stepped, vertical silhouette built from several segments, whose expressive, faceted surfaces create dynamic reflections and accentuate the geometric, architectural concept of the form. The decisive line, arranged in sharp, polygonal edges and cascading levels, places the vase in the canon of Art Deco style, combining a love of symmetry, luxury, and modernist rigor. The whole is characterized by perfect clarity, and the smooth, shiny surface emphasizes the craftsmanship. No signs of damage, restoration, or significant wear indicate excellent preservation: the surface is intact, the crystal is crystal clear, and the whole has survived the decades excellently. It tells the story of Central Europe in the interwar period, when Hoffmann—one of the fathers of Viennese Secession and modernist architecture—proposed disciplined yet expressive forms. This vase seems to materialize the optimism of the 1930s, resonating with light like a window in a modern pavilion: the geometric silhouette casts bold shadows on the walls, and with every movement of the crystal, a new reflection appears in the interior, as if carrying a promise of luxury and ordered beauty. Each facet harmonizes with architectural logic and light, turning the vessel into a luminous, almost urban structure; it evokes the spirit of an era that wanted to bring the avant-garde into salons. The vase can be displayed in a living room space on a simple, veneered sideboard or a console made of dark wood, right next to a single modernist sculpture or graphic. It will fit well in both collector's interiors inspired by the Art Deco style and in eclectic arrangements where historical forms accompany contemporary textures and colours. It is worth combining with geometric, golden accents or smoked glass to bring out the luminosity and architectural effect of the form, as well as pairing with fabrics in deep tones to emphasize the crystal's brilliance.
