Rare table service composed of 23 pieces of Limoges Haviland porcelain, decorated with flowers, foliage, and branches, designed in the Art Nouveau style. Rare because it is in excellent condition, except for a small chip on one of the compotiers (photo), and also because the pattern could be by Girardin, a decorator for Haviland. Research conducted by the British Museum during the acquisition of a piece from this service suggests that it may be titled 'Fleurs parisiennes'. There is a reference to this pattern in Jean d'Albis's book, "Haviland" p 41. The pattern is very similar. Therefore, this is indeed a historic Haviland service! 1 soup tureen with its chased base adorned with small golden cabochons (width 20.5 cm/depth: 12 cm) 1 compotier on a pedestal (diameter: 25.5 cm) 2 serving dishes on pedestals (diameter: 22 cm) 11 flat plates (diameter: 24 cm) 8 dessert plates (diameter: 21.5 cm) Several marks indicating the years of production. A stamp "Vve Trapé Toulouse" indicates the company that ordered this service. Years of production: 1876-1879.
