Antique wooden carved window or shutter from Rajasthan, with 4 opening leaves: 2 small in the upper part and 2 large in the lower part, which is rare. Floral motifs on the four lower leaves (separated by a colonnade itself carved), and on the two upper leaves. The two crosspieces, high and low, make the object suitable for use or as a decorative element. A basic fixing system at the back was installed later to allow its placement on the wall. The ironwork (nails, hinge, visible or buried lock elements) is old. The wood was hand carved (no exact symmetry in the floral motifs on the two upper leaves). The shutter probably dates from the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th. The shutters are made of several thicknesses of wood (at least two) while the uprights and crosspieces are made of solid wood. The wood is sound and was treated before being marketed (in the 1980s). Height = 98 cm. Width: upper crossbar = 71.5. Lower crossbar = 78.5. Window = 66. Thickness = approximately 4/5 cm. Weight = 13 kg.
