The chair is in very good condition, no breakage, no lacks. It is complete, all the screws are present. It is in beech, for the barrel, and curved wood multiplies with beautiful embossed appearance with streaks for the seat. The chair is stamped stella, on the back, the seats of the house stella, whose slogan present here on the label "a stella durera chair" are renowned for their solidity. The patented system of assemblies guaranteed by nut screws, allows them to be tightened at leisure as the seat is used, and perfectly illustrates its nickname, the stella chair being called "the indislocable chair" this model with a low seat is a nurse's chair, or fireside chair. The seat is low, 34 cm from the ground, and the backrest is very high. Everything else in the chair is identical to a bistro chair. Part of the manufacture of these famous seats came from the tarn, a small village near mazamet named labruguière. The patina is very beautiful, quite nuanced, rather dark, the chair having been very well maintained, probably several times revarnished and waxed, which gives it a crazy charm. Generous and comfortable seat of 40 cm X 35 cm. Backrest height 57 cm. French manufacture of the 20s. It will work wonders near a window or coffee table, ideal for anyone who likes to sit near the floor.
