Antique chair with a slatted backrest and caned seat, tapered legs — late 19th / early 20th century. Chair in stained wood (walnut or dark beech) with a slightly curved backrest, structured with four fine turned slats between a high arched rail and a low curved rail — a simple and elegant design characteristic of bedroom or dining room furniture from the late 19th century. The trapezoidal seat is caned, resting on four tapered legs joined by a double stretcher at the front and simple rails on the sides and back. Height 84 cm Seat height 45 cm Width 39 cm Depth 36 cm. In good condition with signs of use and age.
