Folding stool with X-frame, carved golden wood, 19th century.

We are delighted to offer this charming 19th-century Italian folding stool made of hand-carved gilded wood, with an X-frame. It is a well-designed decorative piece and rather large for its type, featuring a remarkable quality of carving, characteristic of Italian furniture from the mid-19th century. The stool has been cleaned, waxed, and polished from top to bottom. It shows some signs of age-related patina and use, but overall, it is in very good condition. Dimensions: height 44 cm, width 64.5 cm, depth 51.5 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Annual waxing is recommended to preserve moisture and prevent the hand-dyed leather from drying out or fading in prolonged direct sunlight.
