Lithograph signed Jacques Margerin The tree with flowers and birds 1960-70

Jacques margerin (1920-2012) was a painter. “not in building. Painter. He did a lot of stuff. He has always lived from his paintbrush. He made advertising, posters, tapestries, sets for the cinema (…) he is especially specialized in wall frescoes, panoramics, trompe l'oeil. It is thus defined by his son, the comic book author frank margerin. The paintings by jacques margerin available are very rare, including lithographs. This copy on arches paper is signed and numbered in pencil 115/200, it bears the embossed stamp “original lithograph” of monnet & petrie, formerly art publishers in paris. The work probably dates from the 60s and 70s. It is in excellent condition. The original gilded metal frame has some traces of deformation on the lower side.
