Botanical art print

Etching and aquatint on arches paper, signed by the artist brigitte coudrain and marked ea for artist's proof. Brigitte coudrain devotes most of her subjects to the interpretation of nature. Her characteristic graphic art was rewarded at the paris biennale in the late 1960s and can be found in several museum collections (notably at the centre pompidou, the metropolitan, and other american museums). We are here facing a very beautiful composition, a plant anthology, made of juxtaposition and superposition of different plants. The whole is in good condition, some foxing on the bottom of the paper (see photos). The work is framed under glass and a very becoming simple wooden frame. The engraving - in the center of the paper - measures 48.5 cm high by 44.5 cm wide. With the frame: height 68 cm and width 58 cm.
