Commode

Louis XVI period commode, made of walnut, cherry, and ash. Excellent condition, fully upholstered, purchased from an antique dealer in 1985 (invoice available). It opens with two front drawers. Square uprights, "sleeve" feet. The front of the drawers is inlaid with reserves in frieze with framed wood in miter. Uprights with false flutes inlaid with fillets. Wooden top, adorned with fillets and an inlaid star. Later pull handles.
