Large wall tapestry – scene of horsemen – 150 × 165cm

Beautiful antique wall tapestry in the Aubusson / Gobelins style, depicting an elegant rural scene with two horse riders, accompanied by characters in the background. The composition features a highly detailed bucolic landscape: trees, flowers, vegetation, birds, crops, and dwellings with a castle dominating the scenery. The characters wear costumes in red, yellow, and beige, adding a lot of character to the whole. The weaving is rich and detailed, with many shades of colour typical of decorative tapestries inspired by ancient designs. The piece is mounted on a rigid wooden support, allowing it to be hung directly on the wall. Style: Aubusson / Gobelins, ancient inspiration. Subject: horse hunting scene. Mounted on a wooden panel at the back. A very beautiful decorative piece, ideal for a classic, antique, or château interior. Estimated period: 20th century (to be confirmed according to any signature or label).
