DESCRIPTION: Elegant and heavy Mid-Century Modern desk ashtray, characteristic of high-end productions from the 1960s. This piece stands out for its bold and very chic combination of two noble materials: The receptacle: Made from a substantial block of solid moulded glass, pinched hot to form four cigar rests. It features a subtle "chartreuse yellow" / aquamarine hue that offers beautiful plays of light and transparency, typical of the work of Italian glass masters (Murano style). The base: A heavy octagonal wooden base, topped with beautiful quilted leather. The glass ashtray fits perfectly into it. A strong design decorative object, with a "Gentleman's Club" or "Mad Men" spirit, ideal for enhancing the decor of an executive office or vintage lounge. Condition: Beautiful vintage condition. The glass is in excellent condition, shiny and transparent, with no chips or cracks. The leather base shows a lovely patina of time.
