Stunning 19th-century Japanese Imari porcelain collector's plate, featuring a classic 21.5 cm diameter. This piece stands out for the remarkable complexity and rarity of its hand-painted design. The decoration is meticulously structured with alternating geometric and floral radiating panels, spreading outwards from a central stylized chrysanthemum medallion: • Deep cobalt blue sections enhanced with delicate gold lattice work and stars. • White ground sections finely detailed with miniature floral motifs (chrysanthemums and foliage) painted in traditional iron-red enamel. The rim is beautifully scalloped (wavy edge), emphasizing the refinement of its traditional craftsmanship. As is characteristic of authentic Japanese export porcelain from this era, it bears no maker's mark. Condition Report: Excellent antique condition. The porcelain is completely sound, with absolutely no cracks, chips, or hairlines (rings perfectly clear when tapped). The enamel colors remain vibrant, and the extensive gold highlights are superbly preserved, which is particularly rare for a piece of this age. A highly graphic and elegant piece, perfect for porcelain collectors or as a refined interior decor accent.
