He obtained a degree in aeronautical engineering but chose instead to turn his passion into a profession. In 1954, he opened his first ceramic creation workshop. That same year, he appeared at the salon des céramistes et des métiers d'art and the maison de la chimie. An artist very committed to the defense of his art, he became vice-president of the international academy of ceramics in geneva.
