Pair of hand-painted floral sauce jugs. 1940s. Manufactured by H.B.C. Choisy-le-Roi. Semi-fine earthenware. Length 17 cm - Diameter 11.5 cm - Height 7 cm. Pair of shallow sauce boats, Vernon pattern. Rounded shape with a wide opening and pronounced spout. Floral decoration executed freehand, with thick, bold lines. Classic red and green palette on an ivory background. Finishing rim. Fair condition with patina. Regular crazing of the glaze inside and out. A small mark of wear on one handle. Suitable for serving hot or cold sauces.
