Vintage ceramic sauce boat from Saint-Amand in cream with floral patterns.

A very beautiful antique object made in the north of France, in Saint-Amand. Pretty hand-painted flowers that create a lovely retro effect, we love it! Saint-Amand and its surroundings have been known since the 18th century for their ceramic production. The north of France, particularly the wooded region of Valenciennes, was conducive to feeding wood-fired kilns. The development of earthenware factories accelerated particularly during the last quarter of the 19th century up to the First World War.
