Louis XIII table

Large and imposing Louis XIII table. Dimensions length 192 cm, width 87 cm, height 73 cm. Top thickness 5 cm. Fully cleaned, treated, and left with a natural wood color finish. (set nourished with linseed oil to bring out the wood grain). The table can be used as is, but we recommend applying a transparent matte wax. (this is also a matter of taste, which is why we deliver it with this finish) Assembly by tenons, mortises and wooden dowels. Top placed on the leg and held in place by small wooden ergos inserted into 4 holes under the top provided for this purpose (see photos.) (note: over time, the holes have taken a little play, the assembly can be reinforced from below once the table is in place, either by means of small brackets, or glued... To ensure more stability to the top) Note the 2 old repairs on the top, the underside of the legs also indicates a long stay on a damp floor, it is quite usual in fact, but these marks of use, or rather of age do not affect in any way the stability or the aesthetics of the table, but on the contrary contribute to giving it this magnificent patina.
