Maison Lecan presents this monastery table made of solid oak, manufactured around 1900. It measures 3.50 m in length and only 77 cm in depth. It has a long and slender silhouette that is rarely seen for sale in these dimensions. Its strong point is the height under the apron. There is no belt under the top, only two stretchers at the ends. Therefore, there is 70 cm of clearance along the entire length, which is very rare for a table of this era. It accommodates comfortably, even with armchairs. The construction is that of traditional monastery tables. Two thick oak legs are assembled and pinned onto curved pads. A long lower crossbar connects them, with through tenons secured by oak keys. The system is detachable, which facilitates transport. The top, made of wide planks, rests on pinned stretchers. The table is preserved in its original patina. The oak has taken on a warm honey colour, more pronounced on the legs and pads. Some stains are visible on the top; they are part of the patina. It easily accommodates 10 to 12 guests. With its simple line and shallow depth, it naturally finds its place in an architect's interior or a modernist decor, whether in a dining room or as a large work table. Dimensions: Length 350 cm, Depth 77 cm, Height 75 cm / Height under apron: 70 cm. Ref LDP: 20261005-001.
