Pair of night stands by Ate van Apeldoorn for Houtwerk Hattem, Netherlands 1960

An lovely set of pine wooden night stands / drawer cabinets designed by ate van apeldoorn, manufactured by houtwerk hattem in the netherlands around 1960. The cabinets have a cubic design that gives them a very modern style. The light brown colour of the pine wood works really well for the design and shows a lovely natural grain! The connections in the wood are really well made which is a signature style for this designer. Each piece has three drawers with a round perforation as a handle. A lovely find of dutch mid-century design! The set remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
