Pair of small sculptural pivoting drawer units. Handcrafted by a carpenter in the 1990s, limited production, based on a traditionally linear structure reinterpreted in a dynamic way. Each piece presents itself as an orthogonal vertical volume, typical of a small classic chest of drawers, but its originality lies in the drawers themselves: each can pivot, thus altering the visual perception of the whole. An initially stable and orderly structure transforms into a variable composition, where movement creates a changing architectural effect without abandoning its conventional base. This system establishes a duality between structural order and compositional freedom, blending functionality, playfulness, and sculptural quality. The clean facades feature recessed circular handles, a subtle detail that enhances the discreet elegance of the design while highlighting the structural interaction of the drawers. Overall good condition, with a few small chips on the edges. A piece of veneer is missing from the corner of one lower drawer (restored) and there are a few minor superficial scratches. Functions well and is very sturdy; the drawer fronts are made of beech veneered MDF, with solid wood interiors.
