Armchair De Sede Switzerland, DS-31, 1970s

Another wonderfully comfortable armchair from the Swiss brand De Sede, the DS-31. Everything about this 1970s armchair is designed for relaxation. The chair features a high backrest, wide rounded armrests, and a richly padded seat on a polished aluminium - swivel - base. The reclining mechanism allows the backrest to tilt for extra comfort. The robust leather has developed a beautifully weathered, crackled appearance over time, enhancing the timeless character of the piece. One armrest at the back and some small cracks in the backrest have been restored, which is visible upon close inspection but blends seamlessly with the weathered look and natural folds. After restoration, the chair received a new colour in a warm brown shade, as close as possible to the original. The armchair has already seen some years and can last many more.
