SZÉKELY Pierre (1923-2001) Balance, 1971. Granite relief screen-printed in red on tissue paper. Very fine impression signed in pencil lower right, titled, described "silk print / granite", dated 1970-71 and numbered 141/240 on the left side. Edition of 240 copies. Sheet size: 53 X 53 cm. Image: 50 X 50 cm. In very good condition (2 folds). Information: Original print whose silk matrix is imprinted with a granite relief sculpted by the artist on the exterior wall of his studio Impasse Villiers de l'Isle Adam (since 2005: 7, rue Hélène Jakubowicz), in Paris, 20th. This sculpture is still present there today (see photos). Reference: the relief sculpture (dated 1970) and the eponymous print (dated 1971) both appear in the catalogue raisonné of the artist and sculptor's prints, established by Pierre Karinthi (notices and photos of both pieces available online: http: //jpkarinthi.free.fr/estampes.htm).
