Sarek. Design: Olle Alberius. For Rörstrand - Sweden - 1960. Olle Alberius (1926-1993) created numerous classic pieces for the Swedish manufacturer Rörstrand between 1963 and 1971. Among the most famous is the Sarek series, dating from the 1960s, which comprises art and functional ceramics: vases, lamps, plates, and bowls. The stoneware plate is decorated with rounded shapes and geometric patterns. The hand-painted glaze is a monochrome gray. The name Sarek comes from a national park in northern Sweden.
