This oil on cardboard signed FRANCIS ETIENNE dates from the years 1920-1940. Its technique is inspired by Impressionist painters while allowing for greater freedom of expression. The lively brushstrokes on the bouquet, the juxtaposed strokes of pink and blue in the background make this bouquet of cut flowers almost "alive." Rich and colourful, it brightens up the places where it is found, and these roses at the peak of their bloom will bring an eternal summer into your home for a modest price. (Etienne Francis-Paul) is a painter and engraver born in Dôle (Jura) on 23 February 1874 (died in Neuilly-sur-Seine on 24 December 1960). He was a student of Biloul and Adler and a member of the Salon des Artistes Français.
