Set of 6 Brutalist Armchairs in Oak and Straw, Mid-Century. Description. Rare set of six armchairs from the 1950s/1960s in solid oak and original straw, featuring a remarkable architectural design with stunning sled bases and sculpted armrests, reminiscent of the work of Charlotte Perriand and Charles Dudouyt. Dimensions. Width: 59 cm | Depth: 47 cm | Total Height: 79 cm. Seat Height: 43 cm. Armrest Height: 65 cm (They slide perfectly under most tables). Condition & Patina. Structure & Feet: Perfect structural integrity, very stable sled bases with no play. Five armchairs have their original black rubber feet, one has a slightly different one underneath (completely invisible once the set is installed). Finish: Original factory varnish with a beautiful pronounced patina. The patina is fully stable (no chipping or peeling). The structures have been cleaned, dried, and nourished with colourless wax for a soft touch. Seats: Original straw in excellent condition on 5 armchairs. Only one seat is slightly more worn (see photos), but remains quite firm and functional. A set of 6 genuine matching carvers, perfect for adding character and warmth to a contemporary interior.
