Fishing chest stool

This pretty wooden fishing chest with seat in dark gray and brown skai will delight a fisherman dad but can also serve as a very decorative storage box for sewing equipment, or why not in bedside or end of sofa to store remote controls, glasses and books. It has a large storage space at the bottom, and a thinner one at the top. On the front façade, it is decorated with a pretty fish leaping out of the water to catch an insect. The plastic closures and the reinforcement for the rubber shoulder on the shoulder strap make me think it dates from the 70s or 80s. I cleaned it thoroughly but it was mostly dust, it is rather clean, and did not have to see the edges of the water often. It is in very good general condition, very solid, no holes or snags on the skaï, padding of the seat in good condition but does not hide its age: some stains and marks on the wood, some stains and discolorations on the skaï, a little superficial rust on the hinges and a small staple inside under the seat (with a fragment of the "thing" it was used to fix there! No idea what it could be). It measures 44 cm in height, the base is a rectangle of 38 cm by 26 cm, the seat measures 35 cm by 22.5 cm. It weighs about 3 or 4 kg.
