A beautiful set of four model 66 armchairs designed by Niels Otto Møller for J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik, Denmark 1970s. Crafted in solid teak, the chairs are characterized by their elegant sculptural frames and exceptionally refined Danish craftsmanship. The design features a distinctive open backrest with five slender vertical supports, gently curved to follow the body. Particularly beautiful are the flowing armrests, which transition seamlessly into the tapered front legs and give the chairs their light and graceful appearance. The seats have been newly handwoven in natural paper cord, executed in the traditional Danish pattern. The light tone and texture of the paper cord create a beautiful contrast with the warm teak and emphasize the organic lines of the wooden frames. The set is in very good condition and has been carefully restored while preserving the original character of the teak. Structurally checked and ready to use. A particularly elegant set of four armchairs and a fine example of Niels Otto Møller’s timeless approach to Danish modern design.
