Art Deco oak mirror with carved motif

This Art Deco mirror in carved oak from the 1930s. Originally, this piece was the central element of a dressing table or a washstand... Its pediment is adorned with a bas-relief sculpture of a stylised cocoa pod, surrounded by geometric foliage... The wood has been cleaned and nourished to revive its "exotic wood" patina. The old glass has been replaced with a new, custom-cut and bevelled mirror. A new backing has been attached to the back for impeccable strength and cleanliness. Excellent restored condition. Ready to be hung.
