This pair of modernist Jylland armchairs was produced by Jio Möbler in 1953. The frame is made of varnished beech wood. Slender legs gently merge into a subtly tilted backrest. The seat and backrest are upholstered with high-quality black synthetic leather. The armchairs are very comfortable and perfectly reflect the spirit of the Mid-Century Modern era. Jio Möbler was founded in 1941 in Jönköping, Sweden. To this day, the company produces unconventional, exclusive and hand-made furniture upholstered with the highest quality fabrics. Production is based on many years of tradition, high-quality materials and craftsmanship. Literature: Siesing, Andreas, Svenska möbler: folkhemsform I ull, jakaranda, furu och bok: 1949-1970, Atlantis, Stockholm, 2015, page 31. This model was part of the exhibition Folkhemform - svenska möbler (Swedish Furniture) 1949 - 1970, Falkenbergs Museum, 10 September - 27 November, 2016. The armchairs are in very good vintage condition. The upholstery has been renewed. The seat is 40 cm high. The colours of the products shown in the photos may differ slightly from the actual ones. This is due to individual monitor settings and lighting conditions – the photos were taken in artificial light, which may affect the perception of colours. However, we strive to ensure that the photos reflect the actual appearance of the product as faithfully as possible. The offer may include photos of the item in the living space, but these are for illustrative purposes only.
