Large Murano blown glass pendant light LS185 by Carlo Nason for Mazzega. Born in 1935 in Murano, Carlo Nason comes from a family of expert glassmakers. His father, Vincenzo Nason, also ran the famous NasonMoretti company. Raised in this environment from a young age, Carlo began designing molded-blown vases in 1959, which are now kept at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York. Wanting to go it alone, away from the family business, he was spotted by AV Mazzega (who produced this pendant light), another famous glass manufacturer, with whom he collaborated from 1965 to 1980 on a range of lamps and various lighting fixtures. His creations are now part of many art and design galleries and museums in Paris, Milan and New York. The height indicated is that of the pendant light excluding the cable, which is adjustable in height. The fixing rosette is white.
