Antique earthenware plate – brown floral decoration – late 19th, early 20th century

Elegant antique ironware plate, dating from the late 19th/early 20th century. Its delicately printed brown floral decoration on an ivory background, combined with a refined border, reflects the elegance of the bourgeois services of the time, highly prized in country houses and bourgeois tables. On the reverse, a technical marking in hollow ("4", "G" framed and "k") typical of French productions of the late 19th century. The style of its decoration is in the spirit of the models of Boch Frères Keramis or Sarreguemines, without it being possible to attribute it with certainty. With its beautiful patina, fine cracks and slight marks of time, this plate embodies all the authentic charm of antique ironware.
