Helioray wall lights

Mercurised glass wall light with a brass support, circa 1930, by the English brand Helioray. This type of glass shade was often installed, mid-century, at height, in shop windows and other places requiring optimised lighting, the mirror effect of the mercury amplifying the light intensity. While this function is no longer relevant today, it remains fascinating for its aesthetic appeal.
