Salt-glazed stoneware wall plaque from Betschdorf – Fortuné Schmitter

Beautiful decorative wall plaque made of genuine salt-glazed stoneware from Betschdorf, signed by Fortuné Schmitter. Very nice floral relief decoration, created in various shades of cobalt blue on a light grey background, featuring a richly detailed central composition and a matching decorative border. The piece bears the signature "Fortuné Schmitter – Betschdorf" on the reverse, as well as the stamp "Genuine Betschdorf – Salt-glazed stoneware". It has its hanging system on the back and is intended to be displayed on the wall. A lovely piece of Alsatian craftsmanship, ideal for vintage, regional decoration or to complement a collection of Betschdorf stoneware. In very good overall condition.
