Rare “Tango” coffee table designed by Fabio Di Bartolomei for FIAM Italia in 1996, showcasing the sophisticated glass-forming techniques and sculptural approach associated with late 20th-century Italian design. The table is formed from a continuous sheet of curved glass that flows from the horizontal tabletop into dramatically rounded sides and inward-sweeping supports. Four tapered wooden feet penetrate the glass structure and provide a striking visual counterpoint to its transparent, fluid form. The combination of transparent curved glass and warm natural wood gives the table an almost weightless architectural presence. Viewed from different angles, its continuous contours create constantly changing lines and reflections, making the piece as sculptural as it is functional. Produced by FIAM Italia, a manufacturer internationally recognized for pushing the technical and aesthetic possibilities of curved glass furniture.
