Art Deco sideboard in solid walnut and walnut veneer, made around 1930 by Jacques Philippe, a key figure in the revival of Breton decorative arts. Based in Rennes since 1925, he developed furniture that blends regional influences, Celtic inspiration, and modernist lines. The front opens with three doors, including a slightly protruding central door adorned with a remarkable sculpted panel featuring geometric and floral designs. The whole piece rests on a moulded base with vertical fluting, typical of his decorative vocabulary. The interior is fitted with shelves and drawers, providing ample storage space. The walnut showcases beautiful grain and high-quality craftsmanship. The signature "Jacques Philippe" is present on the piece. A characterful item, at the crossroads of Art Deco and modernised regionalist furniture, ideal for enthusiasts of designer furniture and 1930s decor. Dimensions: H 170 × W 194 × D 47 cm.
