French walnut chest of drawers dating from the mid-19th century. The piece features three full-width drawers and a shallow top drawer beneath a dark grey marble top. The drawer fronts are veneered in walnut with pronounced grain patterns. The chest stands on short curved feet and retains its simple, functional shape, typical of provincial French furniture of the period. The marble top is approximately 2 cm thick and displays natural variations in colour and pattern. The locks are present but no longer function. Suitable as a chest of drawers in a bedroom, hallway, living room, or dressing room. Good antique condition with age-related wear, marks, scratches, patina, and small imperfections. The marble top shows signs of age and use. The locks are present but no longer function. Old wormholes may be present, as is often the case with antique wooden furniture. Any past worm activity has been treated as a precaution. The chest is structurally sound and ready for daily use.
