Art Deco furniture from the 1930s. Made of solid wood stained in a warm brown, it immediately captivates with the richness of its sculpted ornaments typical of the era. It consists of an upper drawer adorned with a beautiful metal handle with a ribbed profile, and a remarkably crafted lower door: swirling foliage in high relief and geometric rays fanning out downwards, a decor characteristic of the Art Deco vocabulary at its peak. The upper cornice is highlighted by an elegant regular scalloped frieze, while the base adopts a curved console shape with a double arc, very representative of the 1930s style. The original hardware – door handle and silver-plated turn lock – is perfectly in stylistic harmony with the whole, attesting to the authenticity of the piece. Sold as is, it shows, like any furniture of this age, some signs of time: a crack on the left side panel, superficial scratches on the top – all signs of a well-lived life that do not detract from its charm and authenticity. Dimensions: H. 90 cm × W. 60 cm × D. 41 cm – Weight: 25 kg.
