This is a seven-piece modular “Patate” sofa, made by Airborne in France in the 1970s. Each element is upholstered in black corduroy velvet and can be used on its own or combined in different layouts. The shapes are soft and low to the ground, with deep seats and stitched folds that divide each cushion into four parts. One piece has a rounded corner shape, and another serves as a large ottoman or center module. The design focuses on comfort and flexibility, with no visible legs or hard edges. The fabric is in good, strong condition. The bottom plates have been poorly repaired. This has no impact on the seating experience. The plates are invisible during normal use.
